ABOUT THE SUMMITABOUT THE SUMMIT

Fostering Intergenerational Wellbeing in Kenya
From Wednesday, 29 October 2025, to Friday, 31 October 2025, Axum will convene a three-day regional summit in Kilifi, Kenya, bringing together changemakers from across East Africa.
This year’s Hearth Summit Nairobi centers on a quiet crisis: BURNOUT. We’ll explore what burnout looks like in the lives of changemakers today. Together, we’ll seek practical ways to restore balance, energy, and wellbeing. We will explore how burnout shows up across education, activism, mental health, livelihoods, grief, and more—and uncover pathways to renewal, resilience, and collective care.
The Summit will examine the roots and impact of burnout through the lenses covered at the Hearth Global Summit in June 2025. These include, but are not limited to; Peacebuilding & Reconciliation; Governance, Polarization & Democracy; Ecological Belonging; Food Systems, Farming and Flourishing for All; The Future of Technology: Can We Humanize AI?; Individual Wellbeing; Intergenerational Trauma; Organizational Wellbeing; The Way All Life Is Interlinked; Cities, Architecture, and Belonging; Philanthropy and Wellbeing.
