Rosemary Gathara is a specialist in mental health, epilepsy and community health delivery.

She was the Manager of the leading national Epilepsy organisation in Kenya and now lead BasicNeeds/BasicRights Kenya, the leading Mental Health NGO in her country. She has a degree in Food, Nutrition and Dietetics and certificate in the Strategic Leadership Development Program from the Kenya School of Government. She is a member of the Kenya QualityRights Coordination Committee to promote human rights and improve quality of care standards in mental health and related services.
