– What does inner wellbeing mean to you?
The calmness and balance we feel when we are at peace with ourselves. That state of calm that helps us to relax when facing adversities and the stress of everyday life. It helps us to think, work and do things, externalizing the harmony we achieve by working on ourselves.
– How would you define wellbeing in one word?
Peace
– Are there any rituals or practices you use to enhance your wellbeing?
What I practice is that every few hours, depending on how stressed I am during the day, I take 10 minutes between work: I stop what I am doing and take some time for myself, to think, relax and breathe. That helps me a lot. I believe that giving ourselves experiences that work on our inner wellbeing is 100% vital to enjoy good physical and emotional health.
– Why is it important that we prioritise individual and collective wellbeing?
The importance of inner wellness is how much it helps us to relax the body and mind, to get out of the routine and to recharge the energy needed to continue with our daily lives. Likewise it is in the collective sphere as we all go through daily stress and we must take a break to maintain balance.
– Do you have any favourite books, podcasts, or articles that you believe support, promote, or educate on wellbeing and related themes?
Every morning on my way to work, I love listening to a podcast called “Se regalan dudas” by Ashley Frangie y Lety Sahagun. They talk about taboo subjects without prejudice, they invite experts or friends on the topics to be discussed and many of the topics have to do with personal experiences that allows you to identify with them. So it makes me feel safe.
