Luis Alberto Camargo, Founder and Director of OpEPA (Organización para la Educación y Protección Ambiental / Organization for the Education and Environmental Protection), joined the Hearth Summit Bogotá for a deep conversation on Ecological Belonging and how businesses can embrace humanity’s deep connection with nature. OpEPA is a non-profit civil society organization established in Colombia and the United States whose work focuses on the development of projects and collaborative social entrepreneurship with the aim of reconnecting children and young people with the Earth so that they act in an environmentally responsible way.

As an Ashoka Fellow, Salzburg Fellow, Climate Reality Leader, Global Change Leader, Social Innovator, and Winner of the Wise Award 2023 for his work to promote regeneration, sustainability and environmental protection, Luis brought his wisdom on topics such as regeneration, socio-ecological transitions, nature-based education, entrepreneurship and social innovation, conservation, climate change, environmental education, environmental peace, medicine for wild areas and expeditions to the Hearth.
