Voices of Wellbeing | Janet Cardiff, Artist

“WHEN YOU’RE ALLOWED TO REALLY MAKE NOISE, YOU REALISE HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR WHOLE BODY”

Canadian artists Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller live and work in British Columbia. The artists are internationally recognized for their immersive multimedia sound installations and their audio and video walks.

Janet joins us from beautiful Bilbao, where she and George developed a unique sound installation for the attendees of The Wellbeing Summit for Social Change. She shares how the art of “toning” through sound is a therapeutic and experimental process that bonds people and can improve health and wellbeing. She also shares how the physical experience of singing and feeling sound vibrations through the body can help overcome symptoms of depression.
