Fernando Moreno Lamus

Fernando Moreno Lamus

Chief Financial and Administration Officer

Florida USA

Fernando was born and raised in Caracas Venezuela. He holds a Public Accountant and a Finance Master’s degrees. Married to Fany for more than 30 years now, both are proud parents of Carlos and Rodrigo, two young, independent, and warmhearted adults.

With more than 35 years of professional experience, Fernando has built up his career evolving the role of finance in the organization from its core (accounting and controls) through business insight and partnership to internal and external impact. He also had dedicated time and passion helping other finance (and non-finance) professionals to develop themselves from a technical and personal point of view.

Fernando began his career in PriceWaterhouse as external auditor, and from there had been progressively expanding his reach from local to international roles in different industries in companies such as Xerox, Honeywell, Microsoft and TDSYNNEX.

In 2023, Fernando had a moment to reflect on his career and he started to visualize himself dedicating time to the social sector. This is how he joined The Wellbeing Project in January 2024, with the objective of reinforcing and keep evolving the financial foundations of The Project.

He is an avid social tennis player (a passion that shares with Fany, Carlos and Rodrigo) that starts his day with the ritual of brewing a cup of coffee (just black). He enjoys cooking (nothing fancy) for family and friends, while sharing experiences about life.

What does inner wellbeing mean to you?

The starting point.

How would you define wellbeing in one word?

Are there any rituals or practices you use to enhance your wellbeing?

A morning coffee. Exercise (every single week). Talking to my Kids.

Why is it important that we prioritize individual, organizational and societal wellbeing?

We live in a fragile ecosystem, needing the nurturing of wellbeing from within.

Do you have any favorite books, podcasts, or articles that you believe support, promote or educate on wellbeing and related themes?

I am not an avid reader. but I do like to learn from others, in and out of my workplace, so I take any opportunity I have in my day to day, in calls, in events, in my personal time, to connect with others and learn about wellbeing and other topics.
