SUMMARY:Narrative Healing: An Online Course with Lisa Weinert and the Omega Institute
DESCRIPTION:Our stories have a healing purpose and are meant to be shared.  But\, what if we don’t have the tools to understand our narrative outside of what’s been told to us?  What if we don’t have access to our own story due to trauma? \nHosted by the Omega Institute\, Narrative Healing is a guided online class designed to surface the healing stories we hold in our bodies. Framed by Narrative Healing’s six-stage cycle of healing through storytelling\, this unique course offers somatic practices\, creative prompts\, and yoga exercises that illuminate a path to self and a deep connection to the world around you. \nYou will learn how: \n– Therapeutic writing programs can have tremendous effects on our physical health\, including improved immune function\, lower blood pressure\, healing from trauma\, reduced stress\, anxiety\, and depression\, increased resilience\, and more. \n– Simple\, mindful movement can help ground us\, help us be present\, and ultimately spark creativity. \n– Best practices for setting up your mind\, body\, and space can support a consistent writing practice\, which is the most effective way to set yourself on the path to healing. \n– Storytelling can be community support. Your stories—especially the ones you have kept hidden—could be the exact medicine that someone else needs. The power of truly listening and tools to become a compassionate listener both to yourself and those around you. \n– You can become a healing force in the world\, by integrating your stories\, sharing them\, and listening to others in your everyday life. \nWriters and non-writers alike are invited to join author and writing coach Lisa Weinert for weekly live discussions. In between meetings\, you can work at your own pace through self-paced content\, including guided movement and mindfulness practices and creative writing prompts designed to revive your creative practice. You’ll also have access to lively guest interviews with storytellers and authors Crystal McCreary\, Carla Zanoni\, Shelly Tygielski\, Holly Wren Spaulding\, and Jillian Pransky. \nREGISTER HERE

SUMMARY:Community-based Mental Health Care Delivery: The Partners In Health Experience
DESCRIPTION:10 January 2024\n \n15:00 (CET) / 14:00 (GMT) / 09:00 (EST) / 19:30 (IST) / 17:00 (EAT)\n\nLittle evidence exists on how to turn “task-shared” care packages for mental health care into sustained service delivery systems in resource-limited and complex health care settings\, particularly at scale. The Partners In Health (PIH) Mental Health Program delivers collaborative\, comprehensive mental health care in real-world settings\, addresses the complexity and co-morbidity of mental disorders\, and seeks to integrate clinical and dimensional approaches. The Mental Health Collaboration of Catalyst 2030 is delighted to announce the first in a series member-led webinars in 2024. In this webinar we will hear from Giuseppe (Bepi) Raviola\, M.D.\, M.P.H. (Co-Director of Mental Health for PIH) and Dr. Stephanie Smith (Co-Director of Mental Health at PIH).  \n\nThe Partners In Health approach to mental health and psychosocial response (MHPSS) is rooted in the 5 S’s of PIH: staff\, stuff\, space\, systems\, and social support\, and they align mental health service delivery\, training\, and research and optimize academic opportunities with partner institutions. This talk will describe PIH’s experience with implementing a community-based mental health care delivery model across PIH’s 11 global care delivery sites\, together with the Ministries of Health. They will discuss implementation strategies critical to the success of the model\, and reflect on challenges and lessons learned from over a decade of integrating mental health care into PIH’s health system strengthening work. We hope you can join us for these fascinating insights! \n\n\nRegister (free): https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZMlc-CorDIsEtSYvobEaKP9aKsr4GdwGLoW

SUMMARY:A Dialogue with Social Change Leaders and Collective Healers: How Can We Move Towards Healing systems?
DESCRIPTION:There is growing mainstream acceptance that trauma is a far more common part of the human experience than previously understood. Even so\, a broader awareness of individual\, intergenerational\, and collective trauma has yet to permeate the mainstream discourse around social and environmental problem-solving. Join this special webinar series\, co-hosted by The Wellbeing Project and the Collective Change Lab\, to navigate the challenging but ultimately hopeful waters of trauma healing and systems change. This webinar series will explore questions such as:\n\n– What can we see when we view trauma through a systems lens?\n– How do layers of individual\, intergenerational\, and collective trauma act as powerful forces to be reckoned with in our present day systems?\n– How can we move from trauma-informed to healing-centered in our ways of working for systems change?

SUMMARY:Wisdom Bank Launch

The individuals\, the couples and the teams that take this work on are courageous and unselfish within an environment which is always challenging\, sometimes hostile. SUMMARY:Intergenerational Trauma and Healing
DESCRIPTION:This session is inspired and informed by the findings of The Wellbeing Project and Georgetown University\, who together launched the Being and Transforming Think Tank. The intention behind this work is to explore the relationship between the inner self and the outer world so that an inner wellbeing orientation informs the social change sector’s thinking and work\, including educating the next generation of changemakers. One of the two focus areas for this work is intergenerational trauma. \n  \nThe Wellbeing Project will share: \n\nWhat intergenerational trauma is and how it affects changemakers\, organizations and our larger communities\nUplift how addressing trauma can be a pathway for social change.\nSome of the findings from their upcoming report which will explore intergenerational trauma.\nHow we must recognize intergenerational trauma as a widespread challenge to achieving well-being at scale\, which requires ongoing attention and healing in different forms for different experiences.\n\nHealing by Choice! will share: \n\nThe importance of healing through the healing justice framework.\nExamples of their work in the community.\nLead participants through a few self-care and community care practices.\n\n  \nRegister here: https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/kqRp1X

SUMMARY:Who are you if you are not your organisation?
DESCRIPTION:As we embark on the process of succession\, there are lots of practicalities to deal with but what about the emotional journey? So much goes into founding an organisation\, growing it\, believing in it and sacrificing so much – not to mention the personal journey to adjust and remember who we are without the work. How much more if both you and your partner are going through the succession process at the same time? \nWe will be speaking to Neelam Chhiber (Co-founder of Industree and Mother Earth) and Jacob Mathews (Advisor at Industree) as we hear about their succession journeys as individuals and as a couple. We’ll explore why they started their organisation\, their path through to their current point of transition\, how succession feels for them as individuals and how they are managing that as a couple. \nWe’ll explore whether they have the same feelings about their transition and whether their practical approaches to it differ. \nJoin us for this fascinating conversation\, our second webinar in our series specially timed to welcome our friends and members in Asia. As always\, we will include time for questions and thoughts from the audience so we can learn from one another. It’s one not to miss! \nRegister free: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/who-are-you-if-you-are-not-your-organisation-tickets-725462396557?aff=oddtdtcreator
