SUMMARY:Mental Health Collaboration Webinar: A Dive into Art Therapy
DESCRIPTION:Mental Health Collaboration Webinar: A Dive into Art Therapy\n7 August 2024 :  14:00 (BST) / 15:00 (CEST)\nArt Therapy is a behavioral therapy that can be practiced independently or as a complement \nto drug therapy. It involves outpatient sessions\, which are more patient-friendly and less \nstigmatizing than traditional hospital-based approaches. Art therapists collaborate with \npsychologists\, therapists\, educators\, and specialists from the cultural and artistic realms to \nprovide this form of therapy. \nThe Mental Health Collaboration’s webinar will include a quick introduction to understanding the tenets of Art Therapy\, and it’s positive impact on mental health. This will be followed by a look into the effects of Art Therapy among two student populations- one concerned with suicidality and the other with drug and alcohol dependency. \nJoin Anna Mikosz\, the President of The European Foundation For Art Therapy for this exciting talk! \nRegister here:  https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUrceCsrjgoGtbVsrA-yLgETR1RazfMlYTS\n____________________________ \nSpeaker: \nAnna Mikosz: She is the Chairman of the Board of European Foundation For Art Therapy. Over the past 15 years\, she has worked for both international and Polish companies\, addressing transformation challenges with innovative approaches. In each of these roles\, she has engaged in dialogues with governmental and non-governmental organizations\, institutions\, universities\, and patient advocacy groups. Throughout her career\, she has collaborated with professionals from diverse fields\, including health-conscious scientists. Her mission is to create an interdisciplinary platform that leverages their collective expertise to promote mental well-being for all. \nShe holds degrees from the Pomeranian Academy of Pedagogy\, Gdansk University of Technology\, Collegium Civitas\, and the Polish Institute of International Affairs. Recently\, she completed postgraduate studies in Art Therapy at the Higher School of Special Education in Warsaw. \nAn avid admirer of classical and modernist art\, particularly painting and sculpture\, she is currently developing an acrylic painting workshop. Her fascination lies in exploring the therapeutic potential of various artistic disciplines.
