SUMMARY:Mandala On The Road
DESCRIPTION:The Rubin Museum’s traveling Mandala Lab is in London through 25 November! \nDebuted at the 2022 Wellbeing Summit in Bilbao and based on the Museum’s New York City installation of the same name\, this interactive space is inspired by powerful Buddhist principles and invites the visitor to get curious about their emotions. The Mandala Lab features five thought-provoking\, playful experiences\, including videos accompanied by scents\, a site-specific sculpture that invites collective breathing\, and curated percussion instruments dipped in water. Each activity aims to harness the power of difficult emotions and offer pathways to develop resilience\, calmness\, and connection. \nThe Mandala Lab is free and open to the public daily from noon to 18:00 with late hours until 20:00 on Thursdays \n\n\nPhoto credit: The Rubin Museum of Art’s Mandala Lab\, London at Canary Wharf\, presented by London Design Festival. SUMMARY:Intergenerational Trauma and Healing
DESCRIPTION:This session is inspired and informed by the findings of The Wellbeing Project and Georgetown University\, who together launched the Being and Transforming Think Tank. The intention behind this work is to explore the relationship between the inner self and the outer world so that an inner wellbeing orientation informs the social change sector’s thinking and work\, including educating the next generation of changemakers. One of the two focus areas for this work is intergenerational trauma. \n  \nThe Wellbeing Project will share: \n\nWhat intergenerational trauma is and how it affects changemakers\, organizations and our larger communities\nUplift how addressing trauma can be a pathway for social change.\nSome of the findings from their upcoming report which will explore intergenerational trauma.\nHow we must recognize intergenerational trauma as a widespread challenge to achieving well-being at scale\, which requires ongoing attention and healing in different forms for different experiences.\n\nHealing by Choice! will share: \n\nThe importance of healing through the healing justice framework.\nExamples of their work in the community.\nLead participants through a few self-care and community care practices.\n\n  \nRegister here: https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/kqRp1X
